A couple of days ago a report surfaced saying that the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus don't yet have a release time frame set for the Chinese market. Apparently not even China Mobile, the world's biggest carrier by subscriber count, knows when the two models will arrive in its country. It all has to do with the two iPhones not having been certified for sale in China by the Ministry of Industry
